2009-2018

Below is a sample of my work between 2009-2018.

SLAM Tank for Ogmento

This demo of the “X-Ray Vision tank” was captured at the Augmented Reality Event 2012 in front of Bruce Sterling, Mark Billinghurst, and Daniel Suarez, and on the streets of New York City. It was the first time in history such an experience was demonstrated on a mass market smartphone device like an iPhone.
It was a real time markerless SLAM app for iOS that ran on iPhone 4 and iPad 2.

Emersio for Wirth Research

One of the first real time markerless AR apps on the App Store. Built with an optimized version of PTAM for mobile and using Unity for rendering. It was a real time markerless SLAM app for iOS that ran on iPhone 4 and iPad 2.

TagAR for 2d3

TagAR was a real-time markerless augmented reality system for Windows tablets.
I developed the successor to PTAMM while at 2d3 Ltd. as part of an MOD funded project. TagAR contained a PTAMM core but had significant refactoring to the threading and graphics. TagAR ran at 30Hz on a Windows tablet with an Intel HD graphics card, and used Qt4 for the user interface and OpenSceneGraph for the 3D graphics. TagAR is a 2d3 Ltd. product.
TagAR was demoed at the Home Office INSTINCT TD3 Conference and at HOSDB 2011.

Prototype AR Headset development for DAQRI

I worked on a variety of SLAM visualization tools, and Unity based AR software development for a protoype headset.

Robot simulation for Zippy.ai

I developed a robot and multi-camera simulation tool in Unity for training ML and remote operator control, with the ability to load different scenarios and configurations remotely.

Audi e-tron AR apps for Somo Marketing

Developed three Unity based iPad apps that utilized AR features using Metaio's framework. The apps were used for a pop up experience showcasing the Audi e-tron. One app allowed you to customize the car based on the available options and view it against different backdrops. The second app allowed the user to point an iPad at a large e-tron logo and view an AR exploded view of the engine. The third used model regcognition to detect the front of an e-tron and show an AR animation of how to charge the car.

My Little Pony AR App for Milo Creative

I developed a Unity based cross platform iOS and Android app that allowed users to scan AR codes and magazine pages using the Vuforia AR plugin to unlock levels and activities. The app was desigend to be modular to allow more levels to be quickly added using a palette of tools for creating different activities.
My cool factor with my daughter went up immeasurably.
